River City Girls Showcases its Skull-Bully Stars Misako and Kyoko in New Trailers
Last month Arc System Works and the retro masters at WayForward appear River Urban center Girls, a new gender-swapped take on the classic series known as Kunio-kun in Japan. The new brawler looks fun and fashionable as heck, only maybe you want to know a little fleck more almost the game'south two sassy stars, Misako and Kyoko? Well, you're in luck, as WayForward has released new character trailers and descriptions for both our heroes. Check them out, below.
Say hello to Misako, one of the hot-blooded heroines of the upcoming River City Girls! Tough, impulsive, and always fix for a fight, she's teaming up with her best friend Kyoko to rescue her boyfriend Kunio by any means necessary!
Kyoko is set for action in River City Girls! Compared to her BFF Misako, Kyoko is definitely the more cheerful and bubbly of the two, but don't become her angry or she'll knock your teeth out, especially if you mess with her boyfriend Riki.
Haven't been keeping up with River City Girls? Here's the official rundown:
River City Girls stars Kyoko and Misako, two street-tough high-schoolers who must fight their fashion through the six regions of River City to rescue their kidnapped boyfriends, serial mainstays Kunio and Riki. Along the way, they'll utilize an armory of combos, counters, throws, and special attacks; boxing an array of enemies; accept numerous side quests; level up with experience points; collaborate with NPCs (including guest stars from past River City games); and shop for a variety of items, food, and gear to boost stats and unlock new abilities. The girls can even wield weapons and recruit defeated foes to join them in combat!
River City Girls offers one- or local two-player bare-knuckle brawling, which is complemented by spectacular sixteen-scrap-style graphics and an ballsy synth-pop soundtrack (featuring NateWantsToBattle, Chipzel, Christina Vee, and Megan McDuffee!), while the story roars to life via glorious anime cutscenes and manga-style intermissions.
River City Girls brings the fight to PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch on September 5. The game will set you back $xxx.
